The Culture Department will immediately undertake a total of 23 projects to preserve the historical heritage of the city with a budget of 628,620 euros.
As anticipated this newspaper a month ago, the main works are the restoration of the Tobacco Factory built in XVIII as House of Mercy and of the Cross to the Holy Face withdrawn on account of the works of the avenue of Denia, with crosses of stone, iron and whip.
However, among the 23 projects to be funded with state funds, there are other attractions such as the restoration of the rear giving access to the City Council Square of the Santa Faz. In addition, the Freedom monument Anzo located in Gran Vía, the Baroque fountain in Villafranqueza and the façade of the Municipal Archive on the Labradors street which it is found in a very deteriorated state as well as the port of entry facilities to the Castle of Santa Barbara will be repaired.
In addition, several projects were undertaken to improve the illumination of monuments like the Pantheon or the wall of Quijano Paseíto Ramiro.
