The memory of the past is the future wealth. Alicante 2010-2100. This is the inscription of the ark which was buried yesterday, by  the Mayor of Alicante, Sonia Castedo, in the gardens of the cultural complex of The Cigarreras. "With this we evoke the cardboard boxes in which our grandparents kept their memories," he said. The list of objects that holds the ark is linked to the actual daily life of Alicante. Thus the ark of one square meter includes, among other items, jeans, condoms, a landline and a mobile, sand from the beach of El Postiguet, a book about the cuisine of the city, a street and a photograph of the current Corporation.
