AIGÜES D'ELX PERFORMS FOUR PROJECTS WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT.
The corporation Aigues d'Elx held four projects to improve the water system of the municipality for more than 1.8 million Euros, including installation of a new storm drain, optimization of urban drainage, the renovation of the sewage system and improving drinking water supply, as reported in a statement the City of Elche.

So first, the optimization of rainwater evacuation project from the V sector and The Pla sector as the area of ​​Avenida Ramón Pastor and Mayor Antonio Sansano, it will be undertaken,  "receives runoff when heavy rains causing overflows, to which the lack of capacity of existing sewers adds "said Mora.

In this sense, a new rainwater collector will be installed, It would go from the actual roundabout of the Matola Road , near the School “El Plá”, and it will descend to Don Bosco Avenue to President Suárez Street; It will be linked with the existing collector and in the path Barrancón, that according to the councilman, "has enough capacity." The works have an execution period of 24 weeks and a budget of more than 849,000 Euros.

Secondly the urban drainage system will be optimized in Elche Carrús neighborhood consisting in the replacement of street sewage system of Antonio García Cayuelas  and Hermanos Navarro Caracena from Jeremiah Pastor Pérez to Francisco Tomás y Valiente.
The owner of Aigües has pointed out that the facilities will be changed by two concrete collectors for rainwater harvesting, "because the limited capacity of existing sewage causes water to exceeds during heavy precipitations and head towards Libertad Avenue, which causes flooding” he added, while stressed that the intervention" will solve the problem ".
